The Alabama Foundation for Oncology is dedicated to serving the local needs of cancer patients and their families through education and support with our Patient Grant Program, our Together Cancer Support Group, and Camps Newsong and Newhope.

We are an Alabama-based 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization incorporated on August 25, 1988. The Foundation was founded by a group of doctors and administrators affiliated with Brookwood Medical Center. The Foundation has been a quiet participant in the cancer community in Birmingham, providing assistance to cancer patients and their families.

Cancer touches the lives of so many families in the world. The Alabama Foundation for Oncology is trying to do its part in helping as many Alabama families as we can. We hope this web site is useful in letting you know how we are available to support you and your loved ones.

Sources of Funding

Our organization hosts two annual fundraisers; The Howard Hallmark Memorial Golf Tournament and Rev It Up. We also receive corporate contributions, memorial/honorary gifts, and gifts from private organizations.
